Cain is an illiterate teenager suffering from selective mutism who lives in symbiosis with his father, on the margins of a placid and slow province. The two hide in the shadows of that poverty, living by subterfuge and violence. But Cain, after another abuse perpetrated by his father, understands what he is becoming and makes a drastic decision.
